Agricultural Rituals

Agricultural rituals are one of the oldest forms of religious rituals. Agricultural rituals are used specifically to improve crops, animals, drought and famine, over time areas were set aside and temples built for these rituals. Among the tribes of Botswana, Africa kraals (villages) were built by the chiefs or kings specially to house those who journeyed to the site to take part or witness the annual rain harvest festivals. During rituals the Aboriginals used these as a platform for marriages and initiation rites. Agricultural rituals brought together tribes and populations. Agricultural rituals provided an opportunity for people to gather in order to celebrate the harvest or to prepare for the growing season.

Superstition paints a very dark picture of witches, they are described as old, bent, unattractive, bow legged, stringy haired practitioners of dark magic, always accompanied by their ever faithful and equally dastardly familiar. It was believed that a witch was unable to shed tears unless succumbing to the pain of torture, whereby the witch would cry and at this point it was said they lost their powers. Severe punishments for practicing witches were imposed from the seventh century and in the twelfth century the death penalty was brought in.

A Temple is a specific place that is cleared for meditative and magical practices, and this allows you to make a connection with the spiritual world. The Temple is a place where external and internal awareness meld. There are innumerable frequencies in this space, that a person is able to tune into. When we are still we exude energy, energy is put out and there is conscious reception, this allows communion with the collective unconscious, and that which resides in the ether. The union with a spiritual plane will be made depending on the sensitivity of the individual communing with the higher realms. The particular energy and mood of the moment, will be the deciding factor as to what type of energies are attracted, and each session will be different. The better you are able to tune in, the more concise and deep will be the import of messages.
